How Do I?

Get a library card?

To get a Case Memorial Library card, you must be a resident of Orange. If you live elsewhere in Connecticut you can use your up-to-date hometown public library card to borrow materials from the Case Memorial Library after completing a simple registration process. Get to the Library?

The Library is located at 176 Tyler City Road in Orange, off Orange Center Road. To view or print directions, please click here.

Check my library account?

  1. Visit casememoriallibrary.org
  2. In the top right corner, click My Account.
  3. Enter your last name and your full 14-digit library card number with no spaces.
  4. Click

Renew my materials?

  1. Visit casememoriallibrary.org
  2. In the top right corner, click My Account.
  3. Enter your last name and your full 14-digit library card number with no spaces.
  4. Click The items you currently have checked out will be displayed on the screen.
  5. To renew all of your items click Renew All. To renew some of your items click the box next to each item you would like to renew and click Renew Checked.
  6. The next page will confirm the item or items you would like to renew. Click YES to proceed.
  7. If your item or items have been renewed a new due date will be displayed in the status column. If your item or items have not been renewed you will be notified in the status column. Please note that if you have already renewed an item, have fines in excess of $5, have an item billed, or your card is expired you will not be allowed to renew.

Request materials?

  1. Visit casememoriallibrary.org
  2. In the top right corner, click in the search box and enter the item, author, or keyword you are searching. Click Go.
  3. If the item you are looking for is displayed, click Request This Title in the item record.
  4. Enter your last name and library card barcode number leaving no spaces. Select Orange-Case as your pick up location from the drop-down menu. Click
  5. To search for more items click Start Over.

If you do not find the item you are looking for in the Case Memorial Library catalog, you can expand your search to all of the libraries in the LION consortium, by selecting ALL LION Libraries from the drop-down menu where Case Memorial Library appears.

If you’re having trouble finding or requesting an item please send an email to the reference staff at caseref@lioninc.org or call 203-891-2170 during regular Library hours. Please note that if you have fines in excess of $5, have an item billed, or your card is expired you will not be allowed to request items via our online catalog.

Pay fines or bills online?

If you owe more than $1.00 in fines or bills, you can pay online with a credit card.  Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Visit casememoriallibrary.org
  2. In the top right corner, click My Account.
  3. Enter your last name and your full 14-digit library card number with no spaces.
  4. Click the menu item that refers to unpaid fines and bills.
  5. Click “Pay Now.”
  6. Select the fines and/or bills you wish to pay, and click “Continue.”
  7. You will see a PayPal popup window.  Enter your credit card information and click “Continue.”
  8. Enter the additional information requested and click “Authorize.”
  9. You should see a message that your transaction was approved.  You will also get a receipt via email.

Reserve a meeting room?

As part of its service to the community, the Library provides free study rooms for use by individuals and small groups on a first come, first-served basis and meeting rooms for use by not-for-profit groups and local government agencies. For-profit groups may use the meeting rooms for a fee. For more information about reserving a meeting room, please click here.

Download an e-book?

E-books and e-audiobooks are available to Orange residents with up-to-date library cards through OverDrive. For detailed instructions on how to download e-books or e-audiobooks to your specific device please click here. If you are having trouble downloading an e-book to your device we offer limited troubleshooting assistance during regular Library hours.

Borrow a museum pass?

The Library’s museum pass program provides free or discounted admission to 24 popular cultural destinations in Connecticut and beyond. Check out a museum pass using your library card and present the pass when you visit the museum to receive free or discounted admission. Use a Library computer?

The Case Memorial Library has 22 computers available for public use. Public computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions may be limited to 30 minutes in times of high demand. You do not need a library card to use a library computer, but we ask that you sign in at one of our Circulation Desks.

Use Wi-Fi in the Library?

Free wireless access is available in the Library and in areas of the Library grounds. The Library’s network is called Case Memorial Library. There is no password to connect.

Donate materials to the Library?

We welcome your donations of materials any time the Library is open. Any materials not added to the Library’s collection will be donated to the Friends of the Case Memorial Library to be sold in their book sales. Volunteer at the Library?

The Case Memorial Library began as a volunteer organization more than 50 years ago and volunteers are still a vital part of library operations, assisting library staff with a wide range of services.
